About The Oregon Salmon Commission
The Oregon Salmon Commission was established by an act of the Oregon Legislature in 1983.
It is an industry-funded agency that operates under the umbrella of the Oregon Department of Agriculture's Commodity Commission Program. The OSC represents the fishermen and processors in marketing efforts, as well as being a strong advocate of concerns regarding rules, legislation, or any governmental action which may affect the troll fishing industry.
