Once the salmon is brought to the docks, the seafood processors take over the preparation of the fish for shipping or delivery. Whether fresh or frozen, the processed product is then shipped by truck to restaurants, and seafood markets throughout the Northwest and beyond.
Much of the troll-caught salmon is marketed whole, as fresh seafood, although many processors are now providing value-added or prepackaged portions.
These wholesale dealers sell their fish in a variety of forms to the public, retail stores, restaurants, and other wholesale fish dealers.
